From 1 January 2027, all owner-occupied homes in Queensland must have:
- Photoelectric smoke alarms
- Interconnected units – if one sounds, they all sound
- Alarms installed in every bedroom, outside bedrooms (in hallways), and on every level of the home
Alarms must also meet the AS3786:2014 standard and be either hardwired or powered by a 10-year lithium battery.
You cannot legally sell a residential property in Queensland without compliant smoke alarms installed and functioning at the time of contract.
We offer both installation packages and photographic compliance certificates to meet your legal obligations and support buyer confidence.
Yes. The legislation applies to all residential properties — including detached houses, townhouses, apartments, and studios.
- Photoelectric alarms detect slow-smouldering fires early and are required under current legislation.
- Ionisation alarms are outdated and no longer compliant for new installations.
We offer fixed pricing based on the number of bedrooms/enclosed studies. For example:
- 3-bedroom home: $398
- 4-bedroom townhouse: $464
- 6-bedroom property: $639
- Supply and installation of alarms
- Compliance inspection
- Certificate of Compliance
- 10-year product warranty
- Optional: $139 Photographic Compliance Certificate (recommended for sale contracts)

Yes — a resident over the age of 18 will need to be home to allow access. You’ll receive a time window in your booking confirmation.

All alarms come with a 10-year manufacturer warranty. If you have any issues, contact us and we’ll handle the rest.
No problem — we can return to install additional alarms as required. Discounts may apply if you’ve already completed a full install with us.
Yes. You’ll receive a digital certificate via email immediately after your installation or compliance check.
